About me
Daniel
Dickinson

My adventure in the audiovisual world began on May 19th, 1996 (exactly four years before I was born). That day, my father completed the ascent of the world’s highest mountain via the Tibetan side while directing a documentary.
This milestone inspired me and, 27 years later, I embarked on that same journey as my final project for my degree in Audiovisual Communication, destination: Everest Base Camp. I made the trip with my father, although this time, the documentary’s director… wasn’t him.
Directing Summit Price marked the start of my professional career (although I’d already been juggling my studies and a part-time job at an audiovisual production company for three years).
Currently, I work freelance doing event filming and photography, I’m employed at Sportmedia (a production company specializing in sports content), and I run a video editing agency.
Looking ahead, I have some stories written for new documentaries, but on my psychologist’s advice, I’m leaving that for later… something about trying to balance work and personal life, which, according to her, is important!
Along the way
