After several months working with John Heymans on creating content for his social media, we wrapped up the “Road to the Olympics” series with a piece for his YouTube channel. Unlike other videos we had previously shot together, this one had a documentary approach. And who better to help me with the filming and editing of this story than the team we worked with on Summit Price, our documentary on Everest?

Together with Marc Sánchez, we flew to Belgium during the 2024 Olympic Games to accompany John’s family by coach to the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, where we watched John compete. The piece was ultimately edited by Clara Aperador and Daniel Dickinson, and the result is this magnificent 13-minute documentary.
